Course Description
AIX Advanced System Administration will take AIX administrators to new levels of operational effectiveness. You’ll learn how to configure a network installation server, perform advanced troubleshooting and tuning, and read and interpret diagnostic output from AIX. In addition, advanced storage concepts like SAN migrations with LVM are also discussed. Free virtualization with WPARs is also given an in depth treatment. For those who don’t need VIOS, it’s a great alternative which will almost certainly save you money.

Prerequisites
Students should have good skills on the command line and be familiar with basic CLI tools, user administration, network configuration, and using SMIT. Attendees should be fluent with reading manual pages, system tuning, and AIX security features.
