Tru64 UNIX Network Administration Track
The Tru64 UNIX Network Administration Track provides the information necessary to utilize and manage the TCP/IP network in a Tru64 v5.1 environment.
This course is an entry-level, lecture/lab course designed to provide training for users who require the fundamental skills needed to become productive using a UNIX type operating system, including Tru64 UNIX, UNIX System V or BSD. The concepts presented in this course are suitable for users of any UNIX environment, and prepare the students to use the Korn shell on any UNIX-based operating system. The examples, exercises and solutions are based on Tru64 UNIX v5.
This course is designed for students who will be installing and managing a Tru64 UNIX v5 system. The course covers the basics from installing operating system software and optional software, to managing file systems and devices, to creating user accounts. The course demonstrates how to manage a Tru64 UNIX system using the four methods of performing administrative tasks; including SysMan Tool, SysMan Station, graphical user interfaces in the Common Desktop Environment and command line scripts.
This course is designed for individuals with experience managing a Tru64 UNIX V5 operating system who are interested in internetworking topics. This course builds on topics covered in a Tru64 UNIX V5 System Administration course and the student's experience managing a Tru64 UNIX V5 system.
